Before you send your files

Send your print-ready PDF at the intended finished size. Bleed, colour setup and any cut lines depend on the product. We’ll confirm the file requirements for your job.

Prepare your artwork for print

Standard colour printing: CMYK PDF, correct finished size and embedded fonts. Follow the product-specific notes for bleed, textile artwork and engraving.

Brochures & binding

Export interior pages as consecutive single pages in reading order, not imposed spreads. Include blank pages in the count. Match the configured size and orientation. Prepare 2 mm bleed for standard interior pages; keep text at least 3 mm from trim and allow extra clearance at the binding.
Saddle stitch: total pages including cover must be divisible by 4. Perfect binding: at least 40 pages; spine width and cover layout depend on paper and page count. Prepare the wraparound cover only after the spine template is confirmed.

Saddle stitching or perfect binding?

Saddle stitching suits shorter publications. Our configurator offers perfect binding from 40 pages. Paper and overall thickness also affect the choice.

Portrait, landscape or a small booklet?

Choose the orientation during configuration. The smallest available DIN size is A6. Decide the size before preparing the layout.

How should I prepare the pages?

Page count, cover and contents must suit the binding. For perfect binding, also agree the spine. Supply pages in reading order; imposed printer spreads are only needed by prior agreement.

Can I collect my order?

Yes, after confirming the pickup time: XPrint, Hansaallee 190, Halle 5, 40547 Düsseldorf. The entrance is opposite Schwalmstraße 7.
